Since 2015, he has held the position of Principal Clarinet of the Orchestra and Philharmonic of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with leading musical institutions, including the Filarmonica della Scala, the Orchestra of Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, the Orchestra of the Arena di Verona, the Orchestra of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the Orchestra of Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, the Orchestra of Teatro San Carlo in Naples, I Pomeriggi Musicali, and the Orchestra of Teatro Regio di Parma.
In 2014, he was selected by Maestro Riccardo Muti as Principal Clarinet of the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra.
As a soloist, he has performed with the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, I Musici di Parma, and the Orchestra of Teatro di Busseto.
Alongside his orchestral career, he is deeply engaged in chamber music, with a particular focus on the clarinet and piano repertoire, which he performs in duo with his brother Federico at numerous festivals in Italy and abroad.
In 2014, he founded the Falstaff Quartet, with which he won First Prize at the Severino Gazzelloni Flute Competition (Chamber Music category). He is also a member of the Wind Nonet of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.
He has received numerous awards and recognitions in both national and international competitions.
Born in Salerno in 1989, he graduated at the age of 16 under the guidance of Gaetano Russo and Sisto Lino D’Onofrio. He later continued his advanced studies with G. Riccucci and B. Canino, performing in duo with his brother at the Scuola di Fiesole, and with L. Combs, E. Daniels, F. Meloni, and R. Morales. He earned a Master’s degree in Clarinet with honors and distinction at the Istituto Musicale Vecchi-Tonelli in Modena under C. Giuffredi, as well as a Master’s degree in Chamber Music in Parma with P. Maurizzi.
He currently teaches clarinet at the Istituto Musicale Vecchi-Tonelli in Modena. He plays a Backun Lumière clarinet and is a Légère Reeds artist.
